About Jane Hall
Jane Hall’s extensive experience in textile design, fine art, interior design, colour and fashion is intricately woven into her aesthetic approach. Her understanding of colour and texture and ability to layer and combine for visual impact make her a stand-out in the field. Her network of Canadian artisans and suppliers, combined with 32 years of experience make her a sought-after designer. Jane has designed for the high-end home décor industry including fabric company Kravet, dinnerware maker Mikasa and painted murals for Second Cup and Michel’s Baguette. She has decorated and renovated hundreds of Canadian homes.

We asked Jane to stage our home -- a century home with nearly 4,000 square feet of living space -- for sale. We were on a tight timeline and a tighter budget. Furthermore, Jane had to accept many things as they were: the fixtures, most of the window coverings and most of the furnishings. Working under these constraints, she did an amazing job for us, making numerous minor additions and subtractions whose overall effect was stunning. Best of all, she did it on time and on budget -- a rarity in this business.
We admired Jane's skill and style so much that when we purchased our next home, we asked her to design its colour palette. This began a process of dialogue, in which Jane showed herself to be a really good listener, open to our ideas and capable of giving them their best expression. The colours she selected created a warm, inviting space for our family.

When I decided that our house was in need of a serious colour overhaul I had no idea where to turn. By pure coincidence I was walking In my Beach neighbourhood when I spotted a store window full of unique items in the colour pallet I had envisioned for my home. I followed my instinct and entered the new Jane Hall store. Jane was extremely approachable and offered invaluable advice and enthusiasm without imposing her point of view.
The result of the make over far exceeded my expectations. Jane introduced me to colours I had never heard of, let alone considered for my renovation, but they worked in a way I couldn't have imagined. I now have a home with a mixture of my original furniture and newly upholstered items complemented by an introduction of exquisite fabric window treatments and one of a kind pillows. Best of all, I feel I had lots of input into the process but came away with a result that wouldn't be possible without Jane's "hands on " advice and participation.

My first encounter with Jane was through a house “staging” and I was so awestruck by what she had done in this house that I just had to seek her store to meet Jane personally. Well as they say “the rest is history”! I got the “colour bug” that is for sure. While visiting Jane’s store I noticed that I was drawn to certain colour pallets that Jane had set up in the store. I questioned Jane about that and she says that it happens every time that people will naturally be drawn to the colours that they are comfortable with.
I was able to take my little condo on a whirlwind of colour that is extremely stimulating to everyone that visits. Once I perked up my living space my whole psyche has changed. My home has become filled with life and the envy of everyone that visits.
I can’t wait to give her one of my prior decoration whims to be “Janeified”. That is the next step.
