Jane Hall, The Voice of Style

I have a new friend. You see, we only met for but a fleeting moment; a nod, a smile, a touch of the fabrics, a glance across the colour - but we, the fellow creative ones, understood one another. Jane Hall Design is a unique home decor store and fashion boutique filled with gorgeous colours, fabrics, designs and one-of-a-kind pieces. How about a shawl, fashion knit or scarf? To meet Jane Hall is to meet a genius. This is a woman you want to spend time with. This is an artist who you want to work with; collaborate, learn from - watch. This is a shop you must visit. "Here, in vivid display, are deep, saturated tones of mango, orange and cobalt, and punchy shades of ’80s neon turquoise and celadon." - Toronto Life.

You will find her magical place in The Beaches - 2156 Queen Street East, Toronto (that is not The Beach where I live, but 1.5 hours due south) This is the portfolio to drool over and soak up. This is a famous Canadian. This is a happy blogger.

Premiering here today. Jane Hall's visual mosaics that showcase her story; her incredibly creative history. (over 4 decades of talent. whoah.) Jane surprised me with these treasures! I couldn't wait to share them with you. She is also working on some new concepts for her site, so stay tuned. I feel as if I've met Jane before. Years ago. (perhaps in the figure skating world?) You can read more about Jane in this post I wrote or here at her colourful website. Again, I find myself watching the goosebumps on my arms as I type this. Earlier this week I announced my new project 'Hour Cultural Mosaic' and as you know, for the past year, I have considered this blog a Canadian Cultural Mosaic buffet - a bit of this and a touch of that. What strikes me here is the fact that Jane and I are somehow on the exact same wavelength with 'mosaics'. And, I will tell you...I don't mind that at all. I think it rocks. Don't you?
