Friday, March 1, 2002 - Print Edition, Page B2

Custom home-furnishings retailer Jane Hall: The Voice of Color last night won the annual $50,000 Achievement in New Retail Concepts Award. The Toronto outlet is "a striking example" of innovation and vitality in retailing today, said Peter Sharpe, president of Cadillac Fairview Corp., which sponsors the award. The winner was chosen from more than 50 entries, including three other finalists: The Art of Hardware in Calgary, Snap-on in Sherway Gardens in Toronto, and Upholstery Arts in Vancouver. All finalists were home-improvement related retailers, one of the fastest growing categories in the sector.
